With the insight that we gathered from our conceptual inquiry, we focused our ideation on those aspects. We generated 60 ideas that seemed promising by using the Crazy Eights, eight ideas in eight minutes.

We narrowed down the 60 ideas by sorting them into seven categories: discovery, gifts, explorative layouts, music & photos, VR/Games, discussion, and communal listening. With this data, we narrowed it down even more by picking three that we thought had the most potential and would eventually settle on the "Music Mapping Speaker" after feedback.

Two adult participants participated in our workshop, which included testing three low-fi speaker models and a mid-fi prototype of Apollo’s companion app. Through this process, we narrowed down our general speaker design and gathered insights on what needs to be adjusted for more clarity in the app interface.
